Print screens of double page spread

To add more of the yellow colour i added a rectangle box using Quark down the center of the page in the middle to seperate the text from the image. I then inclued the quotes that are in every music double page spread when there is an interview i changed the colour to pink to match the outline of my image but using the colour tool. I wanted add a swirly font for this because i want it to conote that she is speaking. I then added the sunheading i have done this in the same colours as my masthead and in text boxes using the text box toolm I found this easy because i had already used Quark in for my contents page and did the same for that to.
I then finished it off so all of the letters in there boxes using the text box tool from Quark and rotating them by double clicking and moving the mouse so they would move in different ways. I then placed them to overlap eachother to give an edge to the article.

I then began to start the masthead this took alot of my time up because looking at mastheads from professional music magazines they are always different and creative so by using Quark i was able to make my own up. Thats why i started of with drawing a text box on quark and filled it in white this contrasts with the black background and makes it stand out. Then i added a smaller text box and placed it so it was overlaping the first box, I filled it in yellow because it was also a bright eye catching colour. Then i decided to do little boxes for each letter of youtube and have them over lapping. This suggest the personality of the girl i interviewed as being crazy.
After that I wrote out my article onto word a document and then imported it into 3 colums on the opposite side to my writing. What i found difficult was getting the colums the same size to make sure the end of each colum with the writing were on the same line.
I started off with a black background which i changed on Quark using the colour tool from white to black. Then using photoshop i cut around the image using the polygon lasso tool to leave the pink back ground around it. I found this difficult because everytime you did something wrong you had to start cutting around it again.
